All Brands, Including No-Name
A blind that won't go up is a daily irritation — and it almost never needs replacing. Most of what goes wrong with a blind is mechanical, and mechanical things can be fixed. Miami Shades repairs blinds across Miami and South Florida on all brands, including no-name: big-box, online, builder-grade, or the unbranded unit that came with the condo and has no label anywhere on it.

The chain won't move, slips under load, or has jumped off its track. The blind stops short of the top or won't come all the way down. It has fallen off its brackets — sometimes more than once.
Blinds usually fall because the brackets were wrong for the headrail or fixed into plasterboard with nothing behind them. We re-mount properly so it stops recurring.

A chain that has jumped its track, slips under the weight of the blind, or won't move at all. One of the most common calls we take.

When the blind stops short of the top or won't travel all the way down. The stopping points have drifted and need resetting.

Fallen blinds re-mounted so they stay up. And where a unit is too wide for the window, many types can be cut down to fit — send a photo and we'll confirm yours.

Hunter Douglas, Lutron, Somfy, Rollease Acmeda and every other manufacturer — plus unbranded and builder-grade blinds with no maker's mark at all. Most blinds we repair were fitted by someone else.
We aim to attend as soon as possible — often the same day, and always within one to two days when we're busy.

We work throughout Miami's high-rise buildings, so board requirements and service-elevator access are familiar ground rather than a learning curve.
Worth repairing: A jumped chain, a drifted limit, a blind off its brackets. Straightforward, and almost always worth doing.
Worth replacing: Slats cracked across several rows, a bent headrail, or a blind cut to the wrong width in the first place.
Cord problems: Cord issues on horizontal blinds are worth checking with us first — send a photo and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a repair we take on.
If replacing: We make and fit custom blinds built for South Florida humidity, sized exactly to the opening.

Motorized shades on our 32nd-floor condo paid for themselves in AC savings within a year. The whole setup syncs with Alexa and the team walked us through everything in Spanish and English.
Our Mediterranean Revival home needed shutters that respected the architecture. Composite plantation shutters look like real wood but won’t warp in our humidity. Five years and they still look new.
Solar roller shades in our oceanfront condo cut the glare without blocking the view. Salt air hasn’t damaged anything in three years. Worth every dollar.
